Autism Quiz: Signs Checklist for Adults and Kids
Wondering whether you or your child might be autistic? Answer a few questions about everyday life and get an instant, private result with clear next steps. It takes about two minutes. It is not a diagnosis, but it can help you decide whether to talk to someone.

The questions change with age. About two minutes, and nothing you click is saved.
Informal checklist, not a validated screening test or a diagnosis. Questions are written from public sign lists by the CDC, NIMH and MedlinePlus.
What this checklist looks at
Autism is a difference in how the brain develops that affects how a person communicates, relates to others, and experiences the world. The checklist asks about the two areas that descriptions of autism focus on: social communication (conversation, friendships, reading other people) and patterns of behavior (routines, intense interests, repeated movements and sensory differences).
Many people who are not autistic will recognize some of these. What matters is how many there are, how strong they are, and whether they have been there since early childhood. An evaluation also looks at other explanations, such as anxiety, ADHD, language delays or trauma.
Checklist or evaluation: what is the difference?
A checklist is a starting point. An evaluation is a careful look at development, history and everyday life, ending with findings in writing and a plain-language explanation. At Locascio Wellness, an adult autism evaluation or a child and teen autism evaluation is done by secure video for people located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Arizona. See what evaluations cost, or read how our evaluations work.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911. Locascio Wellness does not provide emergency services.

Autism checklist: common questions
Is this an autism test?
No. It is an informal checklist built from public descriptions of autism signs by the CDC, the National Institute of Mental Health and MedlinePlus. It is not a validated screening test and it cannot tell you whether you or your child is autistic. Only a full evaluation by a qualified professional can do that.
Are my answers saved or shared?
No. Your answers stay in your browser and disappear when you leave the page. Nothing you click in the checklist is sent to us. If you choose to fill in the evaluation request form under your result, only what you type in that form reaches us, and it asks no health questions.
Can adults take this checklist?
Yes. Choose "For myself" for questions written for adults. Autism is often recognized later in life, especially in people who learned to blend in. The National Institute of Mental Health notes that diagnosing autism in adults is often harder than in children, and that some signs overlap with anxiety and ADHD.
What should I do if my toddler shows signs?
Talk with your child's doctor. The CDC advises contacting your child's doctor about any concern with development, and asking about developmental screening. If your child has lost words or social skills they used to have, call soon. We carry out autism evaluations from age 5, and you are welcome to contact us to plan ahead.
How do I get an autism evaluation after the checklist?
Use the short request form under your result, or call 267-573-9817. Locascio Wellness offers autism evaluations by secure video for children from age 5, teens and adults located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Arizona. They are private-pay with a sliding scale available, and you get the cost in writing before anything is scheduled.
