Psychological Evaluations

Locascio Wellness offers psychological evaluations by secure video for people located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Arizona, including autism, ADHD, intellectual functioning, personality and disability evaluations. Evaluations are private-pay with a sliding scale available, and the first step is a short conversation about what you need.

  • Autism evaluations
  • ADHD evaluations
  • Intellectual functioning (cognitive) testing
  • Personality evaluations
  • Disability evaluations
  • Functional-capacity evaluations

Answers bring relief

Wondering is tiring. A good evaluation replaces guessing with a clear picture: what is going on, what your strengths are, and what kind of support is likely to help. Whatever the result, you leave knowing more about yourself than when you started.

How it works

  • Tell us what you need. A free 15-minute consultation is the easiest way to start.
  • Get the details in writing. We explain what the evaluation involves, the timeline and the cost before you commit.
  • Complete the evaluation by video. Your evaluator walks you through each step from wherever you are in Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Arizona.
  • Review the findings. You get the results explained in plain language, with time for questions.

Who carries out evaluations

Evaluations are carried out by Dr. Anthony Locascio, who holds a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Arizona. He is completing licensure as a psychologist, so every evaluation is supervised and every report is co-signed by Jace St. Cyr, a licensed psychologist (Pennsylvania license PS020275).

Payment

Evaluations are private-pay and are not billed to insurance. An autism evaluation is $1,800. A full battery, which uses several measures, is $2,200.

A sliding scale is available. If the fee would keep you from getting an evaluation, tell us when you call. We would much rather work something out than have cost stand in the way. See insurance and fees for your right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ongoing therapy, by contrast, is usually covered by insurance.

Questions about evaluations

Are evaluations done online?

Yes. All of our evaluations are carried out by secure video. You need to be physically located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Arizona during your appointments, and you will need a private space, a steady internet connection and a device with a camera.

How much does an evaluation cost, and does insurance cover it?

Evaluations at Locascio Wellness are private-pay, which means they are not billed to insurance. An autism evaluation is $1,800 and a full battery, which uses several measures, is $2,200. A sliding scale is available if the fee is a barrier. We tell you the cost in writing before anything is scheduled, and you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate.

He is completing licensure as a psychologist, so every evaluation is supervised and every report is co-signed by Jace St. Cyr, a licensed psychologist (Pennsylvania license PS020275).

How do I ask about an evaluation?

Call 267-573-9817 or book a free 15-minute consultation. Tell us what kind of evaluation you need, who is asking for it (you, a school, an employer or an agency) and any deadline. We will explain what is available and what it involves.

Is an evaluation the same as therapy?

No. Therapy is ongoing support. An evaluation is a structured assessment that answers a specific question and usually ends with a written report. Many people do one without the other, and some do both.

Will the evaluation be accepted by my school, employer or agency?

Requirements differ a great deal between organizations. Before you book, ask whoever requested the evaluation exactly what they need and who must sign it, and share that with us so we can tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Do you offer Act 235 evaluations?

Not at the moment. Act 235 psychological evaluations (Pennsylvania's Lethal Weapons Training Act certification) are the one type we do not currently provide. The Pennsylvania State Police publish the requirements for that certification.
